Gratitude In Two Simple Steps

CindyGiovagnoli_Gratitude.jpg

I’m going to keep this super short and sweet today since our inboxes are being inundated with things like “up to 70% off a troll headpiece for your dog and other canine accessories.”

What on earth did I buy that got me on that mailing list?

What I have to say is this...

The Thanksgiving holiday is an excellent time to, you know…give thanks.

And doing that really only requires two very simple steps:

1. Think about something good in your life that you’re grateful for.

2. Actually pause for a moment and let that gratitude sink in…all the way in…like really feel it.

It’s this second step that gets forgotten a lot of the time.

Don’t skip it— it’s where the power of the activity actually happens.

So…that’s all I’m asking of you this week:

Give thanks for something.

Mean it.

Really feel it.

Let it soak into your bones.

Bonus— if what you’re grateful for involves another person, this is a really great time to tell them. Don’t wait.

Okay! Have a wonderful holiday and know that I’m deeply grateful for you— for letting me into your life each week, and for being part of this community of curious, generous, amazing people who inspire me daily.

Thank you. Truly.
